Province of Málaga

Settled on the south of the Mediterranean coast and having more than 578,000 people, it is the sixth most populated city in Spain. Its province, with a total area of 7,308 km2 distributed in 9 regions and 103 towns, has been dwelled since very ancient times, as witnessed by the set of dolmens in Antequera, as well as the caves of Nerja or La Pileta de Benaoján, among others monuments. Thanks to development experienced throughout the 19th century, it was set as the first industrial city in the country. Malaga treasures a rich and diverse cultural, archaeological, architectural, urban, plastic and natural heritage.
